Story of the Anabaptists

Cool video...nice, brief history of the Anabaptist movement. What would happen if we Southern Baptists made reconciliation a major theme in our communications to other denominations and the "secular" world?

Tron Legacy Trailer: Retro CGI Fun

Looks pretty good...better than I expected, actually. Should be fun in 3D/IMAX. I'll definitely make an effort to see!!

Using Google Talk for Intra-house communication

Lots of times Amber and I both use computers at the same time, but in different rooms of the house. As geeky as this sounds, today we started messaging each other via Google Talk instead of yelling across the house. Crazy? Maybe, but it works well.

As an added bonus, I always have my T-Mobile G1 on me, so Amber can contact me via Google Talk anytime she's at a computer as well. Sometimes it's quicker than an instant message, and it doesn't count against my txt limit.

Why Google Talk? We're both heavy Gmail users, so it just made sense. After a bit of using the web-based chat client, I did switch to Pidgin, the open-source, multi-protocol chat application...and it works beautifully.

Banshee 1.5.0 (1.6 beta 1) is Released, with "Composer" tag support.

Banshee 1.5.0 support the composer tag. This could return it to my desktop music app of choice...and now that it's going to be default in Ubuntu, I'm leaning even more toward it. They're gonna have to make the video player a bit more robust though.
